Custom shower installation in Temecula & the Coachella Valley.
A custom shower has to be two things at once: beautiful the day the glass goes in, and bone dry behind the walls for decades. Since 2013 our licensed, family-owned crew has built tiled showers with niches, benches, and frameless glass across the valley and the desert, waterproofed to spec every time.
What goes into a custom tile shower?
More than tile. A custom shower is a waterproofing system first: a properly sloped pan, a sealed curb, and membraned walls, all built to spec before a single tile is set. That hidden work is where showers succeed or fail, which is why we never rush it and never skip it.
On top of that system goes the part you see: porcelain, ceramic, or natural stone tile, recessed niches for shampoo and soap, a bench if you want one, and frameless or semi-frameless glass. We help you plan the layout so grout lines run straight, patterns center where your eye lands, and the niche sits inside the tile grid instead of fighting it.
It's the same standard we bring to every job as a Temecula and Coachella Valley tile and flooring contractor: most of our showers are built alongside tile and flooring projects in Temecula and bathroom remodels in Murrieta, with the same crews covering the desert from Palm Desert to La Quinta.
Watch a finished walk-in shower.
This walk-in shower shows the details we sweat on every build: straight grout lines, a recessed niche set cleanly into the pattern, and tile carried to the ceiling for a finished, custom look. It's a short walkthrough, and it says more than any brochure.
📞 Call for a free estimateCan you convert a tub to a walk-in shower?
Yes. Tub-to-shower conversions are one of the most common projects we take on, especially in primary baths where a rarely used tub is taking up prime space. The old tub and surround come out, we rebuild the pan and curb (or go curbless if the framing allows), waterproof the whole enclosure to spec, then tile and set the glass. It's the signature update in the 90s and 2000s production homes across Redhawk, Paloma del Sol, and Copper Canyon, where the primary bath came with a big garden tub nobody uses.
Because the plumbing is usually already in the right place, a conversion is often simpler than homeowners expect. Where the drain or valve does need to move, we tell you up front and price it in the estimate, not partway through demo.
What drives the cost of a custom shower?
Five things: the size and layout of the enclosure, the tile you choose, the glass, whether any plumbing moves, and how much demo and prep the old shower leaves behind. A standard-size shower in porcelain with semi-frameless glass sits at one end of the range; a large curbless build in natural stone with custom frameless glass sits at the other.
There's no honest flat number, and that's exactly why our estimates are free: we measure your space, talk through tile and glass options, and give you a detailed, no-pressure quote so you know precisely what you're paying for.

“We couldn’t be happier with the work from My-Key Tile and Flooring! They completed all of the flooring downstairs in our home and recently transformed our master bathroom, and the results are absolutely beautiful. From start to finish, they were professional, dependable, and paid attention to detail… We’ll definitely be calling them again for future projects!”
Custom shower FAQ.
How long does a custom shower remodel take?
It depends on the size, the tile, and whether any plumbing moves. Demo to grout is usually measured in days, then waterproofing cure times and custom glass fabrication set the pace. You get a clear schedule with your free estimate before we start.
Do you handle the waterproofing yourselves?
Yes. The waterproofing behind the tile is the most important part of any shower, and our own crew builds it to spec: pan, curb, and walls, before a single tile goes on. That is what keeps a shower beautiful years after the glass goes in.
Do you take shower repairs, or only full remodels?
Both. We handle repair work like regrouting, cracked or hollow tile, and leaking pans as well as complete remodels. Some failing showers are worth repairing and some are not; we will tell you honestly which one yours is when we look at it.
